Ok have you noticed that in the christmas event there is nothing representing other cultures and backrounds. Not even at collectors any potatoe pancakes? or next to the christmas tree a minorah?

Also have you noticed many people just say merry christmas not happy chanukah or merry kwanza....I'm jewish and even if someone said happy chanukah id be pissed because its specifiying ONE race and leaving out others.

Also other holidays Halloween is not a Jewish or african or indian or ANY other religons holiday......Any event for ramadan?...Any for passover....NO!

If you are not including other religons and still not be racist get rid of current ones so you dont offend anyone

PS: dont say "BS who cares im fine with it" thats because you are most likley christian or cathlic and celebrate christmas and your used to celebrating christmas.....Its just plan racist

Im also very pissed because i was ones kicked from a guild for being jewish (mainly why i spoke up and said all this....Freaken racist F**ker

It's not "Christmas," it's Wintersday.

It's just an undeniable fact that there are more Christians in the world than any other religion.

I hate the annoying political correctness regarding the holidays. And yes, I'm Jewish.

he asked why there wasnt a minorah, and instead the airport took down all the christmas decorations ><

1) You used the term "Racist" in relation to actions against religions...Just wanted to point that out...

2) Santa Clause, Snowmen, Presents, etc have nothing to do with religion...which in itself makes your argument mute.

If they had Nativity Scenes and Baby Jesus's all over Lion's Arch maybe you'd have a point...But...

.....There's no Christmas in GW. The event is called "Wintersday" mainly because they wanted to avoid a thread LIKE this one.

Yet, for some reasons, some people still ask for more...

There are no true religious references at all during wintersday. The wintergreen trees, grinches, snowmen, santa hats, candy canes, and lights have all been referenced to Christmas by corporations of the past trying to sell their products.

Those that should be truly insulted are the christians that associate these corporate icons with christmas. To them Guild wars is representing every aspect of their religious holiday but naming it Wintersday to be politically correct.

Just be thankful that corporate America hasn't demeaned the other religious holidays like it has Christmas.

New Years (which is what Wintersday is) and Halloween are both western cultural holidays. If there was a cross somewhere you'd have a point, seeing as the only remotely religious symbol present is a pagan Yule tree you're going to have to go cry about religious oppression somewhere else. As a Jew you've got plenty of legitimate oppression and religious intolerance to be outraged about, why would you choose to piss all over something that's not?

its not racist, it would be anti-semitism. jewish is not a race, it is a religion. i understand where youre comming from, but christmas isnt even a religious holiday anymore. christmas is just a commercial holiday for most americans. there is absolutley nothing religious in the game right now. christmas trees, santa and everything else that is there has nothing to do with the actual holiday..if it was about religion, there would be mangers with jesus mary and joseph and signs of the church and actual religion. for people that actualy study catholism, all the crap you see in the game has no importance to them. for real catholics its a day of worship. all the stuff there is not religious at all, its just what comes with the season. santa and christmas trees have nothing to do with the religion, they are just commercial figures. also, kwanza is not a real holiday.(seriously, look it up. i dont mean to be offensive)

if they put a minorah in the game, that would be religious. the minorah actually has to do with the jewish religion and is part of their worship.

the whole holiday season is about family and togetherness and its politicaly correct people like you that dont know what youre talking about that ruin the holiday cheer.

The GW artists reference all sorts of cultures for their art... so they use christmas for wintersday, can we move on? I mean if you look at it there's lots of ridiculous cultural references in the game, particularly all the quasi mystical classes like monk, ritualist, and dervish, they are all portrayed in a practically obscene light as killing machines. It's a game, and the designers obviously aren't worried about cultural sensitivity (unless it'll get them banned somewhere)

There you go right there partner, no one cares about Jews or Africans because they are the minority, most of us celebrate Christmas and dont want to see that stuff, plus this isbnt for Christmas its for New Years. I dont see Mary and the damn baby Jesus but you dont see me coming here complaining now do you sir?
